Although he’s just a beeping tin can on wheels, R2D2 has become one of the most beloved characters in science fiction history. Now with the Star Wars universe set to get a megawatt upgrade and expansion with J.J. Abrams’ upcoming film, R2D2 is poised to steal the hearts of a whole new generation. Recently filmmaker Evan Atherton took his own love for R2 and put it on screen in a terrific new short film called Artoo In Love.
