A couple nights back I was mad at the world because I just lost $20 at my friend’s poker night and missed my last subway. Translation: I walked all the way home slipping and sliding in the fresh snow. Strangely enough though, what started out as a grumpy walk gradually evolved into a magical winter stroll at midnight and all of Mont Royal Avenue was covered in powdery diamond snow and glowing like a neon cake. When I got to my warm and cozy desk at home I found this little gem of a video that a friend had sent me. I love Benoit Pioulard‘s music and this remix takes it even higher. What’s more, the images are from the Bernadette Peters film “Pennies From Heaven”. The mood of the song matched perfectly the mood of my winter walk, but will also work quite nicely while driving down Sunset Boulevard in L.A.
