I just came across this wonderful home design by Pedro Reis in Melides, Portugal. The home is a great reminder of how a strong design can take an unsuspectingly unspectacular location and turn it into a gorgeous site. Sure, Portugal’s arid beauty is great, but once you toss in an amazing home it amplifies it to a certain degree (consider what would happen to a boring paint-chipped room the second a woman walks in wearing a stunning McQueen gown). There’s some really stunning site lines going on here with powerful lines of perspective as you can tell in the photos below, and it seems there isn’t a single part of this house that doesn’t frame a million dollar view of the landscape.
