With Mother’s Day just around the corner, you may still be lost on exactly what to get your mother or the mother of your children. For many of us, it has been a challenging year and you may not have seen each other much or perhaps you had to move back in with your parents due to lockdown and would like to thank them. Whatever your situation may be, make sure your present is thoughtful yet useful, we’ve put together five great and unusual presents for the special woman in your life.
1. A Classic Hamper
Hampers are always a good idea, they come in all forms and shapes. From chocolate to cheese or even a nice selection of wine or beer, you’ll definitely find something for her. Hampers are also great if she tends to have everything already and you’re worried about buying something she already has. No matter what budget you have you can easily find one that will suit your needs.
2. Flowers
A classic choice, flowers are always a good idea. You can buy her a bouquet from your local shop or you could get one delivered to her door on the day and time of your choice. If you want to be a bit quirkier, you can get her a beautiful dry bouquet made with lavender flowers, pink roses and blue delphiniums. Dry flowers last much longer, up to 3 years in fact, it’s definitely something she will cherish for many years.
3. Some Tech
Not every mum loves flowers, beauty products or a food hamper, Mother’s Day could be the perfect occasion to get that little piece of equipment or technology she has been asking for. It could be a new console, a new game, a new smartwatch a tablet or that brand new turntable she has been eyeballing. A good tech device could definitely make her day 100% better.
4. Breakfast in Bed
There’s nothing nicer than a served breakfast in bed, especially for super busy mums. It doesn’t have to be restaurant quality but maybe try to make her something she really likes and doesn’t get to eat that often, like pancakes or bacon and eggs with a glass of fresh orange juice for example. You could also add a little card and some flowers to make it extra special. Don’t hesitate to get your children involved as well, nothing can beat a clumsy home-made Mother’s Day card.
