Denton Corker Marshall is the architecture firm behind Australia’s stunning new pavilion at this year’s 56th Venice Biennale. The black-clad box houses a 2-storey white interior, with the purpose of not overshadowing the artistic gems within. The only embellishments are the four operable panels found on all but one of the facades. Some open as windows, and one acts as a seal to close the entrance permanently during the winter.
