Keeping on top of your garden can be very hard–for example watering your plants, re-painting the decking, replacing shed windows and trimming the hedges can all be quite time consuming. It’s all so daunting. But there are other folks who make it look so easy! After 5 years of studying architecture, and 14 years working as a designer, I’m confident by now that what catches my eye is something special. So when I came across this garden installation design by landscape architect, Nathan Burkett, I knew right away it was love at first sight. A collaborative effort with local manufacturers, Burkett titled the installation “Equilibrium,” which is perfectly appropriate judging from the harmony he’s found in the materiality, the setting, the sense of space, and the design’s brilliant flow.
