Charlie Rose kicked off the third season of his terrific Charlie Rose: The Brain Series, this time dealing with the issue of brain science and society. In the coming weeks and months his roundtable panels will discuss such topics as: gender identity, sports-induced concussions, as well as brain science and its connection to the criminal justice system. In the season’s debut episode, Charlie assembles a panel to discuss the brain science of aggression and the social amplification of violence. His guests include: David Anderson of the California Institute of Technology, Richard Tremblay of University of Montreal, Johanna Ray Vollhardt of Clark University, Emil Coccaro of the University of Chicago, Adrian Raine of University of Pennsylvania, and Nobel laureate Eric Kandel. If you haven’t yet seen previous episodes of the Charlie Rose Brain Series you are in store for an amazing experience. His first series dealt with the normal brain (i.e. perception, action, learning, and memory). His second series dealt with brain abnormalities (i.e. schizophrenia, depression, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s). And now he’s beginning his third.
