Blake Little is an award winning, Los Angeles-based photographer best known for his ability to intimately capture the energy and personality of his subjects. His skills as a portrait photographer have garnered him a reputation as a favorite amongst celebrities, international publications, and corporate clients. He has worked with Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Cruise, Colin Powell, Kevin Spacey. k.d. lang, Iggy Pop, Glenn Close, Jane Fonda, and countless others. In his recent series entitled “Preservation“, Little drenches his models in huge amounts of honey for a stunning effect. “The honey has a way of democratizing people, to transform them in kind of a universal way,” says Little in the featurette video below. To see more of the photos, and to order the book, be sure to visit PreservationBook.com. On a side note, I recently discovered the work of painter and photographer Alexa Meade, who meticulously paints 2D paintings on her models then photographs the final composition to make it look like it’s a real painting. You will see exactly what I’m talking about when you visit AlexaMeade.com. (Source: The Creators Project, images via PreservationBook.com).
