I haven’t made an update to my WTF Files in a long time, and when I saw this strange “Tingleheads” report earlier this morning on the TODAY show I knew right away I had my newest addition to the batch.  So what are “Tingleheads” exactly?  They’re a huge worldwide fan base of people suffering from ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) who get a disproportionate amount of soothing pleasure “braingasms” from watching videos including the following triggers: whispering, crinkling paper, folding towels, hushing or white noise sounds, hair cuts, doctor’s visits, guided imagery, ear cleansing.  As long as nobody’s getting hurt, I guess there’s nothing wrong here.  But that still doesn’t prevent me from getting the exact opposite of a braingasm — the heebie-jeebies.  You can watch the TODAY show profile above, as well as a collection of “Tingleheads” videos for your viewing pleasure or displeasure below.
