Andy Warhol was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, whose body of work forever changed how we perceive popular culture and the modern world around us. A wise man once said, “The greatest sin is to be boring.” Assuming this to be true, Andy Warhol sinned less than anyone of his time. Take, for instance, this video of Warhol eating a Burger King hamburger. If it were anyone else it would be as dull as a bag of hair, but since it’s Andy it’s hard to press stop. In their analysis of the clip, the team at Station To Station writes: “Andy performs the actions in a somber, routine manner, his face expressionless. The viewer is left to speculate what emotions, if any, are rolling around those blank walls. He eats slowly, doing nothing but chewing, almost daring the viewer to hope for more action.
