Thanks to smartphones it’s getting harder and harder for workers to “turn off” their work.  Just because someone leaves their office doesn’t mean the office leaves them.  The end result of this added e-mail workload is a rise in burnouts and stress overload.  Now companies are waking up to the importance and longterm benefits of letting their employees enjoy 100% of their downtime, and they are forcing their workers to take vacations more often and to not use work email during their off hours.  You can watch the full report above.  (Photo courtesy of Faculty of Medicine).
