The Internet has become so vast and so infinitely filled with content we are in dire need of an army of Internet archaeologists in order to keep things from falling through the cracks and being lost forever.  Case in point is this series of indescribably haunting photographs from another place and time.  If it wasn’t for the anonymous person who uploaded these images onto the web, we might have lost them forever — or perhaps these images are so disturbing we would be better off if they were wiped from the record of history.  Whichever way you lean, there are no answers to be found in these photos — only questions.  Lots, and lots, and lots of questions.  As I was going through these photos in a total state of disbelief, the creepy atmosphere reminded me of a fan-made music video for How To Dress Well’s track “Escape Before The Rain”.  You might want to consider flipping through the photos once again while listening to the music (at the bottom of the post).  There are so many untold stories in these mysterious images, it almost defies the imagination.
