Patrick Stewart (73) and Ian McKellen (74) recently sat down with Lesley Stahl for an interview which aired this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning.  In the conversation a wide range of topics are discussed, including: their friendship; their thoughts on the X-MEN franchise’ McKellan’s warning Stewart not to take the role of Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation; McKellan officiating the marriage of Stewart and his new wife; and so much more.  It’s a fascinating interview, yet for some reason I cannot find the interview in its entirety.  I have embedded as many portions of the video as I could find, and if I should find it in full I will replace them with one single video player.  If you’re lucky enough to be in New York, you can find the pair on Broadway together. Lesley Stahl writes: “It is rare, if not unprecedented, that two of the world’s greatest stage actors star together on Broadway in not one, but two classic plays: ‘Waiting for Godot’ by Samuel Beckett some nights, and Harold Pinter’s ‘No Man’s Land’ on others.”  For info on tickets and dates for these two plays be sure to visit Ian McKellen’s website at McKellen.com.  You can read the full transcript of Lesley Stahl’s interview by visiting CBSNEWS.com.
