James Cameron’s brilliant 1986 masterpiece ALIENS has rightfully earned its place among the greatest science fiction films of all time.  A sequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 horror ALIEN, Cameron’s follow-up has proven to be an endless source of inspiration to sci-fi fans and directors alike.  When the film was released on DVD in 2003, it featured an epic 3-hour documentary entitled Superior Firepower: The Making of ‘ALIENS’  — which is now available for free online viewing.  Earlier this morning The Playlist’s Jason McDonald revealed one of the hilarious true stories from behind-the-scenes which is featured in the doc: “For instance, when Ripley climbs into the Power Loader, she’s actually sitting on the lap of the guy who is really moving the Loader.  So the crew thought it would be funny to place a device that they could inflate underneath Ripley’s seat, so when she sat down it would spring up causing her to think that the puppeteer was getting a boner.”  So sit back, turn down the lights, and enjoy!  And remember that little girl who played Newt?  If you’d like to see what she looks like today simply head over to
