Two heart-wrenching stories are making waves this week, which both share an equally beautiful and tragic commonality. In the first report from CNN, we meet Rachel Wolf and her father, James. Wolf, 25, staged a fake wedding for herself because she was running out of time — her father had only weeks left to live. In realizing the devastating gravity of his fate, James said, “I’m saddened over the fact that I won’t be there for the events of her life. And that’s been difficult on me.” In the CNN report below you will see James and Rachel share a wedding dance that that is all too bittersweet. In the second story featured on the TODAY show earlier this morning, we meet Jen Bullock and Jeff Lang. Jen has just six months to live due to a terminal case of lung cancer. Wanting to get married before she passed away, Jen and Jeff had planned a quick and simple ceremony in her parents’ backyard. When local residents heard of their story, however, they immediately took charge of the couple’s wedding plans and brought the ceremony to a level that would never have been possible before.
