As the United States Supreme Court takes on the Prop 8 and DOMA cases regarding gay marriage in America, the entire world watches on as the gay rights movement reaches the highest court in the land for the first time in 10 years.  Over the past decade, however, America’s embrace of the gay community has evolved with lightning speed, and the majority of Americans now support same-sex marriage.  For the past several years we’ve heard the words “same-sex marriage” so often we’ve almost lost touch with the importance of them.  Well, leave it to Andrew Sullivan, author and editor of The Dish Blog, to remind us.  Last night, Andrew appeared on Charlie Rose for a roundtable discusssion about same-sex marriage alongside Jeffrey Toobin of CNN and the New Yorker Magazine as well as Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor at Yale Law School.  Andrew’s stunning command of reason, intelligence, grace, and inspiration, combine to form the most powerful and beautiful analysis of the gay marriage debate I have ever heard in my life.  This is an absolute MUST WATCH.
