JAY-Z is busy at work creating the score for Baz Luhrman’s upcoming epic The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel of 1925.  In a recent tweet by Jeymes Samuel, frontman of The Bullitts, Samuel writes: “JAY-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!”  The film’s second trailer was recently released, and it features JAY-Z and Kanye West’s track “No Church In The Wild”.  Earlier this morning Naomi Zeichner of FADER added: “In October, cast member Adelaide Clemens told Indiewire that Prince and Lady Gaga were also contributing music to the film: ‘Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don’t think Warner Brothers are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door.'”  The Great Gatsby is set for release in May 2013.
