PLAYBOY recently sat down with one of my heroes, renowned ethologist, evolutionary biologist and author Richard Dawkins.  It’s a brilliant conversation between Dawkins and PLAYBOY’s Chip Rowe, where Dawkins shares his thoughts on the simple beauty of evolution, the improbability of God and why the Pope should be arrested.  Rowe opens with: “Richard Dawkins, the patron saint of nonbelievers, caused a stir earlier this year during a debate with the Archbishop of Canterbury, who noted that his opponent is often described as the world’s most famous atheist. “Not by me,” Dawkins replied before providing his standard explanation—a supreme being is possible but highly improbable—which led a London newspaper to proclaim that the world’s most notorious skeptic was hedging his bets. Far from it. Dawkins, at 71, remains an unbending and sharp-tongued critic of religious dogmatism. Like any scientist who challenges the Bible and its lyrical version of creation, he spends a great deal of time defending Charles Darwin’s theory that all life, including humans, evolved over eons through natural selection, rather than being molded 10,000 years ago by an intelligent but unseen hand.”  You can read the interview in its full amazingness by visiting PLAYBOY.com.  And if you have not yet watched the greatest conversation of all time — where Richard sits down for a 2-hour chat with his buddies Daniel Dennett, Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris — you can sit back, relax, grab a cocktail, and press play below.
