This coming Sunday the citizens of Greece are holding their national election to choose their next leader, and the choices couldn’t be more extreme.  The winner will either be pro-austerity and continue with the painful budget cuts, or the other option is to elect the SYRIZA Party which will likely mean a swift exit from the Euro and then this shit begins to get seriously unstable.  Every single economic expert in the world has a different interpretation of how scenario #2 would play out, because quite frankly — no one has ever seen anything like this ever happen before in modern history.  My favorite economist in the entire world, Gillian Tett (the U.S. Managing Editor of The Financial Times, who popped up in the phenomenal documentary Inside Out, the opening credits of which you can watch below) joined Joe Nocera of The New York Times for an oak roundtable discussion this past Tuesday with Charlie Rose focusing on the potentially catastrophic European economic disaster right around the corner.  It’s a must-see for anyone who is even remotely interested in what is about to happen to the global economy in the coming months.  Strap on your seatbelts, folks — it’s gonna be a very bumpy ride.
