Jake Tapper sat in for George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week and his roundtable included the great George Will, Donna Brazile, Austan Goolsbee (former economic advisor to Obama), and Laura Ingraham.  The focus of the conversation centred on Newt Gingrich and the insane rise of this crazy man to the top of the Republican nomination ticket.  Last week Republican legacy heavyweight Bob Dolepiped up and warned American conservatives to not even think about selecting Gingrich to go up against Obama.  It’s becoming blatantly clear that every single person in Washington thinks Gingrich is one newt short of a ton.  And in the second video, Tapper interviews Speaker John Boehner about his thoughts on his buddy Newt’s chances of becoming the nominee.  At the end of the interview he also gets very emotional when asked about his thoughts on his close friend Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her resignation last week from the House Of Representatives to focus on her recovery from a near fatal shooting one year ago.  I couldn’t help but get misty-eyed myself.
