New York Times columnist David Brooks is an international treasure as far as I’m concerned.  His analysis of the human condition and world that surrounds us is one that I hold above most others.  Earlier this spring Brooks gave one of the most terrific TED Talks I have ever seen, and you can watch it here: “David Brooks On Love, Politics, And The Soul Of The Social Animal”.  Last night I was riveted by the following conversation Brooks had recently with Charlie Rose where he shares his thoughts on (among many items): the events of 2011, Obama’s weakness (dreams) and strength (policy), Liberalism vs. Republicanism, trust and fairness in American history, and a column series he started recently where he asks his readers who are 70+ to submit their pearls of wisdom on how to live a great life.  I couldn’t stop watching this the second I started.  Amazingness.  Also, to enter David’s archive at The New York Times CLICK HERE.
