I’ve always considered myself a cat lover through-and-through, but lately I’ve been developing a developing a love for dogs and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from.  I’m finding myself falling in love with dogs on the sidewalk and sometimes laughing or fawning out loud at how cute they are — all symptoms of someone whose heart is branching out in a new direction I guess.  So when I came across Scottish designer Domenica More Gordon‘s gorgeous sculptures of dogs made from a special technique known as “dry felting” I was instantly pulled in.  There is something much more fascinating going on here than your average stuffed toy.  Domenica’s creations exude an almost magical quality, as if they spring to life when you’re asleep and go about their secret lives.  Her work has developed a fan base in the thousands (including Brad Pitt and Pete Townshend), and her collections have been featured in some of the best galleries all over the world.  Yatzer recently sat down with Domenica More Gordon for a feature profile and interview, as well as to discuss her upcoming exhibition in Tokyo, and you can read it by CLICKING HERE.  To learn more about her work be sure to visit her website at DomenicaMoreGordon.com.
