I’m seriously loving this new Johnnie Walker limited edition release, their latest collaboration with Cosfibel, Diageo Reserve, and PORSCHE Design Studio.  Inside this box of beauty you will find “The Chiller” and “The Cube” which each house a 75cl bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, four crystal glasses, and brushed stainless steel ice tongs engraved with the words “Striding Man” (ohhh, the places I could take this joke).  PSFK recently profiled the collection:

For those of you who are design junkies, it’s the small touches that’ll really get to you. Starting with the detailed leatherwork which covers the plastic-injected cases with PU,  leatherwork stitching also runs the length of the cases: highlighting the ‘actuators’ that trigger the cases’ opening. As for the logo, in addition to its fine placement, the Porsche Design Studio signature is embossed, and features a simple brushed metal plaque accenting the cases’ design. The case itself is then reinforced by a stainless-steel cap which has been micro-brushed, silkscreen decorated for the Johnnie Walker Blue Label brand, and lasered for the JWS monogram. The best part however is that the inside of the caps also can double as ice buckets- creating a sort of personal party on the go. In addition, a system of batteries linked to LED lights allows a luminous version of the piece to stay lit for 12 hours.

And if you find yourself with some major cash to burn you can pick up one of the 18 Private Bars available for special order.  The unit measures 7′-2″ x 2′-2″ x 2′-2″ and houses two bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Lable 75cl, a 1.5L magnum, 8 crystal glasses, a caraffe, and a crystal ice bucket compartment.  At a cost of £100,000 it’s not for the faint of heart, but it does come with the finest leather in the world, tinted mirrors, and Australian wood.  On top of this, it has its own automatic opening system controlled by sense detection, conceived and designed by Diageo Reserve, PORSCHE Design Studio, and Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau GmbH (DWH), one of the world’s leading specialists in fitting out luxury yachts.
