Acclaimed architect Daniel Libeskind has completed his latest masterful project for the renovation of the War Museum in the German city of Dresden. The renovation recently opened on October 14th after being closed for 22 years. The elegant pointed shard design not only extends the existing galleries of the Museum of Military History, but it also now serves as the largest museum in Germany. The tip of the blade points directly eastwards towards where the firebombs were dropped during the war, while its 30-metre-high rooftop viewing platform looks out towards the cityscape in the west.
