Bon Iver is giving away their stunning new track “Calgary” for free this morning as part of the promotion for their upcoming album self-titled album coming out this summer on June 21.  I’m already half-way into my second listen and I’m loving it to pieces, especially how reminiscent it is of Peter Gabriel’s similar quality.  Led by Justin Vernon, Bon Iver’s debut album For Emma, Forever Ago blew everyone away with their atmospheric signature sound: one part soul-lifting, one part heartbreaking.  Bon Iver is scheduled for a world tour later this year with their loose knit 8-piece band also hitting the road.  Their June album is one of the most highly anticipated of 2011, and will contain an exclusive rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me”.  To download your own copy of “Calgary” be sure to visit BonIver.org.
