First publised in Gizfactory (March 28, 2011) by Deepika Singh....Eggs have been used for millennia in the Far East as a symbol of fertility, and New Zealand based sculptor artist Gary LeMaster turns them into beautiful intricate sculptures. Each and every one of his EggZotica™ creations is meticulously designed and carved by hand. Gary uses a dental hand piece powered by an air compressor which generates over 400,000 rpm’s to craft these eggs shells. Although he practiced drawing with pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, the fact that he was color-blind made Gary LeMaster think his visual art was limited.
