I just listened to Teen Daze‘s brand new reworking of Geotic’s song “Find Your Peace” off Geotic’s incredible album Mend (one of the best albums I’ve heard in ages, and apparently he made it over one weekend).  As I was listening to it I thought of a musical “parent-child effect” where the child resembles the parent due to genetic information, but has their own independent kind of beauty.  Teen Daze took the DNA of Geotic’s song and created an offspring which is no less impressive than its father.  Good job!
