Designer Thanva Tivawong redesigns one of the most ubiquitous signs encountered on the road — the traffic light.  Tivawong’s “Sand Glass” is inspired by the hour glass and has LED lights that display the trickle down effect to show the time left for lights to change.  It also features a countdown timer that appears when the yellow light is on, to alert people to stop or to get ready to go.
