If it’s not already #1, then South Africa easily makes the top 3 on my list of upcoming destinations. When I do make it over there I will try to head up north to the Sunland Baobab Tree in the province of Limpopo. Not your average tree by any means, the Sunland Baobab is more than 1,700-years-old, and measures 72-feet tall and 154-feet in circumference. But its story doesn’t end with its size. The Sunland Baobab is also home to a pub. You can learn everything you need to know at BigBaobab.co.za.

In keeping with the world’s most famous bars, Athens’ legendary café/restaurant ZONARS is once again open for business. After a stunning makeover courtesy of the renowned Panas Group (i.e. brothers Chrysanthos and Spyros Panas), ZONARS is now a haven once again for the jet-set, local artists, and globe-trotters.

Sara Panagiotopoulou of Yatzer writes, “Originally established in 1939, ZONARS was the brainchild of a visionary man, Karolos Zonaras, a Greek chocolatier based in the States who intended to establish ZONARS as ‘the best restaurant in the best location in Athens.'” Judging from the photos it looks like mission accomplished.
