Director Alan Masferrer and the team at Grayskull Productions bring you the brand new video for Klyne’s “Lend Me Another Name.” In an interview with FADER, Masferrer says, “As this is a such a hypnotic song, I approached the video in a very instinctive way. The first thing that came to my mind was the octopus and then the concept of the metamorphosis with the girl which fit with the lyrics. The idea of the contortionist didn’t come until a few days before the shoot. It didn’t appear in the treatment and it wasn’t until we were already casting when I realised we needed to take the body expression to its highest level. Luckily we were able to persuade our first choice, Dasha Sovik — an ex-Cirque Du Soleil contortionist — to take the role. She really nailed it and put all her courage into what was an extremely demanding shoot.” You can learn more about Klyne (a duo of two 22-year-olds from the Netherlands) at WarnerMusic.ca.
