Last year when Steve Mould, a British host of science-oriented TV show, posted a strange video of a chain of metal beads defying gravity by leaping up and out of a glass jar like a fountain — and staying like that until the jar emptied — the video went viral in a major way. It also caught the attention of physicists around the world who realized this guy had accidentally stumbled upon a brand new physics problem which needed an explanation.
