It’s quite possible that James Hashimoto is America’s luckiest 4-year-old. While some kids spend their playtime dabbling in video games, cars and dolls, or hide-and-seek, James’ level of fun is taken to a seriously awesome level thanks to his dad, Daniel. A pro in the visual effects industry, Daniel spends his days using pixels to build entirely new universes for Hollywood movies like Kung Fu Panda 2. In his spare time, Daniel uses those same skills to expand his son’s imagination by giving his boy some superhuman powers and a new moniker — “Action Movie Kid.” Their videos have been viewed over 50,000,000 times, and now the adventures of Action Movie Kid are coming to a bookstore near you. Daniel and his wife, Mandy (who runs a gourmet cookie factory out of her home), have published a new book where little James tames a slime monster. You can learn more about the book at Simon & Schuster, check out all of the Action Movie Kid videos on their YouTube Channel, and watch their feature CBS This Morning profile above.
