Patricia Arquette is the undisputed frontrunner to win Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Academy Awards — and for good reason. Her performance in Richard Linklater’s magnus opus Boyhood is a career-defining achievement 12 years in the making. Earlier this morning Arquette sat down with Mo Rocca of CBS Sunday Morning where she opened up about how the enormously ambitious project is as much a reflection of her own life journey as her character’s. Linklater has often said the film could easily have been titled Motherhood as much as Boyhood, and if you haven’t yet seen the film, then you are in store for a cinematic experience unlike anything else in motion picture history. As I’ve said many times, Boyhood is not only FEELguide‘s #1 movie of 2014 — it’s one of my most cherished films of all time.
