Photographer Stephen Locke captured this stunning multi-view timelapse of a giant super cell thunderstorm forming in the fields of Climax, Kansas.  Super cell thunderstorms are caused by rotation and wind shear which slices the air into layers which then creates a massive horizontal column.  They are the rarest of thunderstorms, and are responsible for nearly every single destructive tornado in the United States.
