Researchers at Stanford University have discovered what’s being dubbed the “holy grail” of battery technology.  The results are published in the scientific journal Nature Nanotechnology, and the breakthrough has demonstrated the ability to add 300%-400% more life to lithium batteries used in cell phones, electric cars, and more.  Gordon Kelly of Forbes writes: “Of all the materials that one might use in an anode, lithium has the greatest potential,” said Yi Cui, professor of Material Science and Engineering and leader of the Stanford research team. “Some call it the Holy Grail. It is very lightweight and it has the highestenergy density.
