In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, ramen noodles are huge now.  But we’re not talking about the cheap 99-cent ramen noodles with the spicy flavor pouch made popular in the 80s and 90s.  Ramen noodles have exploded in popularity in recent months thanks to a new awareness of the infinitely delectable gourmet possibilities that can occur inside a ramen bowl.  Mo Rocca of CBS This Morning profiled the new ramen wave, and introduces us to one American chef in particular who is the undisputed (albeit somewhat unlikely) world champion of ramen.  (Photo courtesy of Fernando Pandha)
