FRONTLINE’s newest documentary, Solitary Nation, premiered last week on air & online, bringing you an up-close, graphic look at a solitary confinement unit in Maine’s maximum security prison.  The film offers a gripping portrait of America’s solitary confinement program — a program which was forbidden for decades due to failed results, yet was reactivated in the 1980s.  You can preview the trailer above, and watch the film in its entirety by visiting PBS.org.
