Stadiums & Shrines is teaming up with Portals, and enhancing environments with Nivan Yahaghi, to celebrate music.  If you’re lucky enough to be in NYC on October 16th then you should absolutely head over to Silent Barn at 8pm.  It’s free entry courtesy of Hype Machine, and you can RSVP directly, or take the scenic route through (Laurent-designed) skies HERE.  Below you can preview the sounds of some of the performers who will be playing live, including: White PoppySea OleenaEmily ReoGem TrailsThe Interest Group, and Daniel Klag.  And earlier this afternoon I was introduced to Tokyo duo N-QIA, thanks to their brand new video for “Tree” which mixes their atmospheric sound with some lovely animation of Balinese shadow puppets.  The song is part of N-QIA’s brand new album Fringe Popical which you can purchase via their home label Virgin Babylon Records.
