Ricky Gervais is currently on a promotional tour for his brand new Netflix dramatic comedy series Derek, about the inner lives of people who work at an old age home. Earlier today, Gervais asked his Twitter followers to: “Text an elder asking ‘What’s the most important thing you learned in life?’ Screenshot their response & tweet @BeLikeDerek. #TextsWithGran.” Well, the resulting screenshots are pouring in, and needless to say they are amazing. You can see some of the best ones below. Derek, which began airing on Netflix on September 12th, tracks Derek Noakes, a nursing home caretaker who sees only the good in people. Gervais produces, writes, directs, and stars in the series.
