The Butler is the latest film from director Lee Daniels (Precious, Monster’s Ball) which brings to life the true story of Eugene Allen, who served eight presidents as the White House’s head butler from 1952 to 1986, and had a unique front-row seat as political and racial history was made.  The Weinstein Company just released the very first trailer for the film which gives us our first look at what could very well be one of the year’s most impressive films.  Forest Whitaker takes on the lead role of Eugene Allen, with Oprah Winfrey playing his wife.  The cast is filled with an enormous range of starpower including: Whitaker and Winfrey, alongside Lenny Kravitz, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Redgrave, Mariah Carey, Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan, Robin Williams as Dwight D. Eisenhower., and many, many more.  The Butler opens later this year.
