Vampire Weekend aren’t set to release their brand new album Modern Vampires Of The City until May 7th, but yesterday the band set free the very first two singles from the album.  The first is “Diane Young” and I don’t care for it at all, but the next one, “Step”, is seriously beautiful.  As FADER points out, “[the song] interpolates Souls of Mischief’s 1998 track ‘Step to My Girl’.”  You can pre-order Vampire Weekend’s Modern Vampires Of The City on iTunes, and for all things Vampire Weekend be sure to visit VampireWeekend.com, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
