Every now and then, news of a New York event comes along that spins me around in circles as I ask myself, “Why the hell don’t I live in New York?!”  And Philip Glass‘s upcoming 2013 Tibet House Benefit is most certainly one of them.  The lineup for Glass’s annual benefit concert held each year at Carnegie Hall was recently announced, and for those people lucky enough to be in the audience on February 21st, there will be no shortage of variety and mastery in the evening’s musical performances.  Among the headliners are ARIEL PINK, Rahzel, storyteller Ira Glass, rock icon Patti Smith, Jim James, and tUnE-yArDs.  The Huffington Post writes, “As always, the benefit is staged in support of the Tibet House US, a non-profit organization charged with preserving Tibetan culture. Glass has been a long-time proponent of safeguarding the community that he once called a ‘priceless treasure.'”  To learn more about Tibet House be sure to visit TibetHouse.us.  And for more information about the 2013 Tibet House Benefit concert, including links to purchase tickets, you can visit Eventbrite.com.  For all FEELguide stories related to Philip Glass CLICK HERE.
