Recently Charlie Rose sat down with Lena Dunham, the award-winning creator, writer, and star of HBO’s hit series GIRLS about the show’s explosive success as well as its second season airing now on HBO.  Watching Dunham take the stage at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, where she took home the prizes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) as well as Best Television Series (Musical or Comedy), was revealing in how clearly Dunham is still coming to terms with how enormously influential the show has become.  Even Dunham herself could never have imagined when she first had the idea for the show that it would have come even close to the powerhouse it has become.  You can watch the full interview in the link below, and for all things GIRLS you can visit the show’s main site at HBO.com.
