I just started work on a new movie this week, which means I leave home at 7:30am and don’t return until 8pm.  My last big film was The Smurfs 2 which I finished in late April 2011, so for the past 8 months or so I’ve been working from home and enjoying making my own schedule.  On an average day I would blog from 8am to noon and work for my client(s) for the rest of the day, but now that I’m working full-time it takes a lot for me to dive into FEELguide at night.  But this is usually the case with the first week, so if all goes well I’ll be able to get used to this overloaded schedule soon and still be able to get a few posts up each night.

Earlier today I heard this brand new track from CLOUD BOAT entitled “Wanderlust”, and it’s been sitting in the back of my head all day long.  Whenever I post new music on FEELguide I always make sure I’m 100% in love with it, but “Wanderlust” is not exactly the case.  I can’t say I fell head over my heels for it the first time I heard it, but considering the fact that it stuck in my subconscious for the entire day is a strong sign that it’s the kind of song that will grow on me.  There’s something about it that lingers in the best way possible.  I first listened to it about 7am this morning, and then around 45 minutes later in my carpool I noticed my buddy Max was flipping through radio to find a good station.  He quickly landed on a local alternative station here in Montreal which was playing a track he loved.  I was kind of half listening and half not, but after a couple minutes the song had completely taken over every single one of us in the car.  It was none other than the amazingness that is MODESELEKTOR’s “The White Flash” featuring RADIOHEAD frontman Thom Yorke.

Both tracks go beautifully together and you can listen to each in full below.  For all things CLOUD BOAT be sure to visit CLOUDBOAT.co.uk, and follow them on Facebook, Soundcloud, and Twitter.  To purchase your own copy of MODESELEKTOR’s “The White Flash” simply head over to iTunes.
