The Playlist just posted the very first trailer for the supernatural sci-fi horror Dark Skies directed by Scott Charles Stewart (PRIEST, Legion) and it looks like it might have just what it takes to scare the shit out of you when it’s released early next year. Starring Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton, Dark Skies tells the story of the Barret family’s peaceful suburban life that gets rocked by an escalating series of disturbing events, culminating with their discovery that a terrifying and deadly force is after them. This is from the same team that brought you Paranormal Activity, Sinister, and INSIDIOUS. And as a footnote, INSIDIOUS is getting a rightfully deserved sequel with the original dream team returning once again: director James Wan, and stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne (read more about that HERE). As for Dark Skies, this thing looks right up my alley and I’ll be the first one in line when it hits theatres on hits on February 22, 2013.
