Last week I suddenly began reminiscing about my favorite Tim Burton movie of all time: Beetlejuice.  Starring Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton, this 1988 classic about a couple of recently deceased ghosts who hire a “bio-exorcist” in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of their house had a profound impact on my imagination when I was all of 12-years-old.

Because of Beetlejuice I will always and forever have a huge, warm, and fluffy soft spot reserved in my heart for the amazingness that is Winona Ryder.  Winona was 16 when she filmed Beetlejuice, and ever since then her and Tim have remained very close friends.  Their most recent collaboration was Burton’s Frankenweenie where she voiced Elsa Van Helsing, and now the dream duo have re-teamed to shoot a video for THE KILLERS.  Burton is in-between projects right now because he has not officially confirmed whether he will direct Pinocchio written by Jane Goldman (although I desperately hope he will, because in my humble opinion Pinocchio is the single most important and profound children’s novel ever written).  So with all this spare time on his hands Tim has kept his creative genius busy by directing a music video for THE KILLERS.  The band is currently on tour, and last week Winona Ryder was spotted with Burton in the seaside town of Blackpool in the U.K. where they were shooting scenes for the as-yet unknown track.

THE KILLERS also recently teamed up with renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog who directed them in a live concert.  You can read more about that by CLICKING HERE.  Winona Ryder is currently in the middle of shooting the action thriller Homefront alongside Jason Statham, Kate Bosworth, and James Franco.
