Some days are like giant presents from the Universe, filled with sunshine and amazingness.  And then there are days like today.  When Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey shore it packed the lowest recorded barometric pressure ever recorded — and yesterday it arrived here in Montreal.  I woke up super early yesterday morning for some reason, and couldn’t shake the heaviness that lingered inside my head all day long.  It was a nasty feeling, and I’m still trying to shake it off this morning.  I’m unusually susceptible to weather changes and they wreak havoc on my mood, and right now this low pressure from Sandy is sitting directly on top of me and I’ll be honest with you — it’s not fun.  On top of the mindfuck that Sandy’s low pressure is playing on my head it’s grey and miserable outside, and because it’s November I am just now starting to come to terms with the fact that it’s primetime for all sorts of other drastic weather swings to come down the pipeline in the coming weeks and months.  Thankfully I just tracked down this Jim-E Stack remix of YUNA‘s “Lullabies” and it’s exactly what I needed.  To download your own copy just click the right button in the Soundcloud window below.  And if you’re in a similar state as I am and this YUNA track doesn’t do the trick, you can try another helpful Sandy antidote by watching this cat and dog making the most of their furry friendship.
