When Colin Powell stopped by CBS This Morning just over an hour ago, his agenda was two-fold: to promote his brand new memoir, It Worked For Me: In Life and Leadership, and secondly to endorse President Obama for a second term.  Powell didn’t mince words at all during his conversation with Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell, describing his frustration with Mitt Romney’s lack of clarity, his flip-flopping, and his general kindergarten-level understanding of foreign policy.  When asked if he is still a Republican, Powell replies he’s a moderate Republican — the same brand shared by the likes of Ronald Reagan, George Bush I, and former Secretary of State James Baker — a brand that is sadly beginning to lose ground in America.  It’s this kind of moderate Republicanism, Powell replies, that has worked so well over the past two centuries in reaching across the aisle to Democrats in order to get Washington to work together to achieve strong and long-lasting results.  You can check out Powell’s memoir It Worked For Me: In Life and Leadership by visiting Amazon.
