David Fincher’s film version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was cinema at its very best in my opinion. The man is a certified genius storyteller, and rightfully deserves his place on one of the biggest podiums inside the pantheon of our greatest living directors. Which is why I would give just about anything to see him direct the series’ sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire. The Playlist recently published a terrific piece on the complexities involved in securing Fincher’s place behind the camera, yet one man who is fighting for Fincher’s return more than anyone else is none other than the film’s star Daniel Craig himself, who recently said in a Los Angeles Times interview: “I’m definitely going to work on him.” But there is long list of obstacles that need to be eliminated first.
