While I was busy working my buns off on the designs for IMMORTALS during the late spring of 2010 on the 3rd floor of Mel’s movie studios in Montreal, many of my friends were working their buns off too on the floor below me during the pre-production and shoot of the long-awaited movie version of Jack Kerouac’s iconic 1957 novel On The Road.  Many of us here in Montreal were waiting in breathless anticipation for the trailer’s release, and several months ago we were not disappointed when it was finally made available.  Directed by Walter Salles, On The Road has already generated a huge amount of critical buzz, but when I first watched the trailer I was nearly brought to tears in the second half which was sountracked by an unknown guitar riff that captured my heart.  It’s taken me ages to figure out who wrote and ecorded that song, and I’m pleased to let you know that it belongs to Will Hanson, and the name of the song is “HOME”.  You can enjoy both the full song and the gorgeous trailer below.  On The Road hits theatres in limited release in North America on December 21st, 2012.
